Statement of Beliefs
The ELHC Statement
of Beliefs is an explanation of the foundation upon which this
ministry is built, as well as information concerning what is being
taught from the pulpit.
We believe that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He was crucified, dead
and buried. On the third day, He arose from the dead, and ascended
on high where He took His seat at the right hand of God, the Father
Almighty until His enemies become His footstool.
We believe in the
rapture, that the dead in Christ will rise first and that those
who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet Jesus in the
air.
We believe that
after death, eternal life begins either in heaven or in hell.
We believe where one spends eternity is decided by whether or
not he/she has made the decision to receive Jesus Christ into
his/her heart as Lord and Savior according to God's Word.
We believe in the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and baptism of the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking tongues.
We believe that
the Bible is the written Word of God. We believe in divine healing
(which is the restoration of health to one who believes and acts
on God's Word).
We believe in tithing
and bringing offerings into the local church. We also believe
in giving alms, and caring for the poor, the sick, the homeless,
and the otherwise unfortunate.
We believe in water
baptism. We believe
in the name of Jesus, and the authority invested in that name.
